The opening of the project named “We use technology in early mathematics learning with digital storytelling”, realized within the scope of TÜBİTAK 4005 Innovative Education Applications Support Program and organized in cooperation with our university and Aksaray University, was held at Gazi Faculty of Education Block F Conference Hall. Our Rector Prof. Dr. Musa Yıldız, Deputy Dean of Gazi Education Faculty Assoc. Dr. Serkan Koşar, Head of the Department of Primary Education Prof. Dr. Rabia Sarıkaya, Project Coordinator Prof. Dr. İlkay Ulutaş, faculty members, guests and students attended to the program.
Making the opening speech of the program, Prof. Dr. Musa Yıldız, our Rector, stated that they have attached great importance to projects since the day he was appointed as the Rector of Gazi University and stated that they carried out the necessary studies on this issue very quickly. Stating that many activities, projects and studies have been implemented due to the 95th anniversary of the establishment of our university, Prof. Dr. Musa Yıldız expressed his thanks to all the academic and administrative staff who supported them with their work. Emphasizing that he is also a member of Gazi Education Faculty, at the end of his speech, Rector Prof. Dr. Musa Yıldız thanked each and every person who contributed to the realization of this project.
Gazi Education Faculty Deputy Dean Assoc. Dr. Serkan Koşar said, "Since the Dean of our Faculty Prof. Dr. Mahmut Selvi is out of the province within the scope of another project, I convey his greetings and respects to you as well.” He added, “What is meant by innovation and innovative approaches in TÜBİTAK 4005 Innovative Education Practices is the national and international new approaches, strategies, methods and techniques for solving the problems encountered in education”. Stating that the project serves the concepts of innovation in every sense, Assoc. Dr. Serkan Koşar concluded his speech as follows: “Our University is in a very good state in terms of national and international projects and is getting better every day. In this context, I would like to express my gratitude to our Rector, who has always supported us and stood by us throughout this process, and to all our units and professors who work with great devotion on projects.”
Later, Project Manager Prof. Dr. İlkay Ulutaş made the introductory presentation of the project, and Prof. Dr. Ebru Kılıç Çakmak, who is in charge of the project, gave a speech of thanks.
