The twelfth of the Science Conferences organized periodically by our Dean's Office, was held with the participation of Faculty Member of Computer and Instructional Technologies Education Department, Prof. Dr. Tolga GÜYER.

Session moderator was Assoc. Dr. Nazife Burcu TAKIL and our Dean Prof. Dr. Mahmut SELVI gave the opening speech. To the program held online; our Deputy Deans Prof. Yasin UNSAL, Assoc. Dr. Serkan KOŞAR, our faculty members, students attended and guests from outside the university showed great interest.

After the opening speech, Prof. Dr. Tolga GÜYER said, “Unfortunately, there is a great confusion between technology education and educational technology. “Often, inspectors, principals and other stakeholders do not know the difference between technology education and educational technology.” Emphasizing that the main target should be technology production rather than technology education and consumption, Prof. Dr. Tolga GÜYER pointed out that a paradigm shift is essential in this regard. Making the definition of the concept of educational technology in his presentation, Prof. Dr. Tolga GÜYER concluded his speech by thanking those who contributed to the realization of the event and all the participants. The conference ended after a question-and-answer session.

At the end of the conference, our Dean Prof. Dr. Mahmut SELVI shared his knowledge and experience with the participants, and thanked Prof. Dr. Tolga GÜYER and all the participants for enriching the conference.
