The opening of the Young Ideas Network Project, organized in cooperation with the Ankara Provincial Directorate of National Education and our Faculty, was held at the Gazi Concert Hall. The project opening program organized by considering the global epidemic measures; Our Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Bekir BULUC, our Dean Prof. Dr. Mahmut SELVİ, Ankara Provincial Director of National Education Harun FATSA, Gazi University Project Coordination Application and Research Center Director Prof. Dr. Salih ŞAHİN, Gazi University Deputy Secretary General Raşit YILDIRIM, Ankara Provincial National Education Deputy Director Mehmet CALISKAN, Ankara Provincial National Education Branch Managers, Faculty Members and teachers participated.

After a minute of silence, National Anthem and mini concert performances by Music Education Department Faculty Member Assoc. Dr. Bilgehan SONSEL and Research Assistant Dr. Çağla Serin ÖZPARLAK, the opening speeches of the program started. In his opening speech; Our Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Bekir BULUÇ stated that with the Young Ideas Network Project, trainings are planned to increase the competencies of teachers and students in order to ensure a qualitative and quantitative increase in the participation of project schools and (BİLSEM) Science and Art Centers in national project competitions. Our Dean Prof. Dr. Mahmut SELVİ emphasized that it is very meaningful to carry out the Young Ideas Network Project in cooperation with Ankara Provincial Directorate of National Education in cooperation with Gazi University, our distinguished education center, which is the founding faculty of Gazi University, whose 95th anniversary we celebrate.

Speaking at the opening program of the project, Ankara Provincial Director of National Education Harun FATSA stated; "In today's world where access to information is very easy, our aim as educators is to raise our students as individuals who can access information on time, use the information they have reached in solving the problems they encounter, and provide personal and social benefits with the new information they produce." Ankara Provincial Director of National Education Harun Fatsa stated that as the directorate, they want to popularize the project-based learning method in schools. Harun Fatsa pointed out that the students who do the project work take on the responsibility of their own learning process and said, "With the Young Ideas Network Project, which is planned to be carried out with our project schools and Science and Art Centers between June 2021 and June 2024, it is aimed to increase the participation in national project competitions qualitatively and quantitatively." After the opening speeches, the trainings to be held within the scope of the Young Ideas Network Project started.

The teacher trainings planned to be carried out within the scope of the project will be carried out in accordance with the mixed/hybrid (online and offline activities) training model within the scope of needs. The project monitoring and evaluation process will be completed with the follow-up of the process monitoring forms filled in at certain time intervals within the scope of the monitoring and evaluation studies related to the project, the evaluation of the researches made for the development of the Young Ideas Network project process, and the preparation of the year-end report.
