The URAP organization, which ranks world universities on an international platform according to certain criteria and operates within METU, announced the results of the 2021-2022 World Area Ranking, which was carried out taking into account 78 different fields.

Gazi University achieved a great success by being ranked in 15 different fields. Among the 17 universities in Turkey that were included in the ranking in at least 8 fields, our university shared the 4th place with Yıldız Technical University.

The table below shows the total number of universities ranked by field in Turkey and the results of the 2021-2022 World Field Ranking of our University among these universities. Our university ranked in the top 3 in Turkey in the fields of Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Energy and Education. In addition, our University has achieved the success of being one of the top 10 universities in Turkey in 15 fields in which it is ranked. Looking at the world rankings, our University ranked among the top 1000 universities in 14 different fields.

URAP uses the data announced by "Clarivate Analytics InCites", which is accepted as a reliable data source in line with the article and citation criteria in its rankings. Among a total of 208 higher education institutions operating in Turkey, only 83 universities were ranked in at least 1 field as successful in URAP criteria.
