I Learn from Nature: Preschool Teachers Design Nature-Based Learning Environments

Within the scope of TÜBİTAK 4005 Innovative Education Applications Support Program, the opening ceremony of the project titled “I Learn from Nature: Preschool Teachers Design Nature-Based Learning Environments”, hosted by our University, in cooperation with the Ministry of National Education, Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University and Yozgat Bozok University. Our Rector Prof. Dr. Musa Yıldız, Deputy Dean of Gazi Education Faculty Assoc. Dr. Serkan Koşar, Project Coordinator Assoc. Dr. Osman Çimen, faculty members, guests and students attended to the program.

Making the opening speech of the program, our Rector Prof. Dr. Musa Yıldız stated that many activities, projects and studies have been implemented due to the 95th anniversary of the establishment of our University, and thanked all academic and administrative staff who supported them with their work. Emphasizing that he is also a member of Gazi Education Faculty at the end of his speech, our Rector Prof. Dr. Musa Yıldız thanked each and every person who contributed to the realization of this project.

Speaking at the opening, Project Coordinator Assoc. Dr. Osman Çimen said, “We are deeply saddened by the natural disasters we have experienced over the past few days. This project will last 10 days and we will organize many activities with our teachers. Explaining that their project is a nature activity, Assoc. Dr. Osman Çimen finished his speech as follows: “Children are very important to us and therefore, the aim of our project is to enable our preschool teachers to use nature in education. I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who contributed to the project.”
